Pterygopalatine fossa – Posterior View

Continuing on from my previous post about visitors. It does seem the most visited posts have been my anatomy pictures . Which is great as i enjoy drawing them.
Here is the Pterygopalatine fossa, i will buy anyone a drink who can say that after five pints.
Went a bit wrong around the sphenoidal sinus. There was a slight illusion going on in the original source in the fact, that at first glance it looks symmetrical. There was a temptation when drawing the right hand side to copy the left. But whoever was on cutting up skulls duty that day was slightly out.
Sadly for fans of the Foramen rotundum, cartoid groove and Maxillary tuberosity amongst others. I didn’t want to clutter this image up with too many labels as it was taking away from the predator look.
